“Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd found himself between two ferns and several Republican governors at their annual confab in Boca Raton Wednesday.
The New York Times reports Todd spent 28 minutes of the one-hour session talking about immigration, much to the ire of two governors and the gathered crowd.
“We have an hour,” said Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. “We’ve now spent 30 minutes talking about the president breaking the law.”
The crowd here at the annual meeting of the Republican Governors Association erupted in applause.
Gov. Rick Perry of Texas issued his own form of rebuke to Mr. Todd for focusing on the issue.
“Here’s what I’m thinking: You will probably not be invited to do a moderation for a presidential debate,” he declared to laughter.
