Retired ABC News Anchor Carole Simpson Injured in Slip on Ice

By Mark Joyella

Retired ABC News anchor Carole Simpson is recovering after breaking bones in a fall. Simpson updated fans on Facebook, including a photo of herself in a wheelchair amid huge snowdrifts. “Boston is paralyzed and I am disabled, both for the same reason,” she writes. “The worst winter ever.”

Simpson says she slipped on ice three weeks ago and underwent surgery to realign three bones that were broken in the fall. She says her short trip outside for “fresh air” was likely her last until Spring. “I’m not coming out again until the daffodils do.”
