The TV networks are keeping an eye on two tropical systems: Jose and Maria. The bigger threat this morning is massive category 5 Hurricane Maria which is over the caribbean right now and is expected to make landfall in Puerto Rico tomorrow morning.
As of the 8 a.m. update, Maria is 170 miles southeast of St. Croix with sustained winds of 160 mph.
On the network morning shows this morning: CBS’s David Begnaud was reporting from San Juan. ABC’s Rob Marciano was just down the beach from Begnaud. For NBC, Gabe Gutierrez is in Puerto Rico.

CNN has Michael Holmes in Antigua and Nick Valencia in San Juan. Weather Channel meteorologist Paul Goodloe is also reporting from San Juan.
