Report: The View Hires Former Trump Staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin as Co-Host

By Mollie Cahillane

ABC has reportedly tapped former Trump White House director of strategic communications, Alyssa Farah Griffin, as the new conservative co-host of The View. DailyMail.com had the story first.

Griffin is apparently in final talks to join the daytime talk show this fall for its 26th season. She’s been a regular guest host this current season.

She’ll take over the conservative co-host spot from Meghan McCain, who hosted the show from 2017 through 2021.

However, a spokesperson from The View told TVNewser,”We do not have a co-host announcement to make at this time. Stay tuned.”

ABC has rotated McCain’s seat since her departure last year—and Farah Griffin will join Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and rotating co-host Ana Navarro.

Farah Griffin served as Mike Pence‘s press secretary from 2017 to 2019, before becoming press secretary for the United States Department of Defense. She joined the White House in April 2020 and resigned in December 2020.
