This morning, ABC News president Kim Godwin announced several executive appointments in the news group’s digital and content division.

Reena Mehta (pictured) has been hired as senior vice president, streaming and digital content—and Lulu Chiang joins as vp of digital content. Also, Justin Dial has been promoted to vp and Mike Kelley’s vp role has expanded.

In Mehta’s newly created role, she will be in charge of ABC News’ multi-platform and direct-to-consumer content strategy and pipeline. She will oversee the development and slate of unscripted documentaries and narrative non-fiction series—and specials for linear and streaming. She will also manage the teams at ABC News Live, ABC News’ digital portfolio consisting of the ABC News, Good Morning America and FiveThirtyEight brands and products and ABC Audio.

Mehta, who starts on March 21, will be based in New York City and will also work closely with ABC News’ executive editor and svp, Stacia Deshishku, ensuring all the news division’s programming and content reaches multi-cultural audiences across linear, streaming, digital and audio platforms. Before joining ABC News, Mehta was the svp of content strategy and planning at HBO Max.

Chiang, also based in New York City, will be joining the newsgroup as vp of digital content. She will be responsible for leading the editorial operations of ABC News’ digital brands: ABC News, GMA Digital, and FiveThirtyEight and arrives on March 28.

She comes to ABC News from Yahoo Finance, where she led and managed the newsgathering, field production, specials, live events and booking strategies across owned and operated and off-network platforms.

In addition to those appointments, Godwin also shared that Dial has been promoted to vp, where he will oversee the News on Hulu content strategy and programming—and the continued expansion of their streaming news channel ABC News Live. And Kelley’s vp role has been expanded to include developing and producing ABC News narrative non-fiction series and specials for distribution across Disney networks and platforms, including ABC, Hulu, National Geographic and Disney+.

All three executives and head of documentaries Jackie Glover will report to Mehta.
