Ratings: Weekend Pope

During coverage of the Pope’s death, CNN beat FNC in primetime on Saturday and Sunday in total viewers and the 25-54 demographic. This is the first time in over a year when CNN has won two consecutive nights.

But FNC beat CNN in total day ratings, and out-rated CNN when the Pope’s death was announced. Between 2:55 and 4:05 p.m. on Saturday, FNC averaged 2,549,000 viewers, while CNN had 2,248,000 and MSNBC had 944,000.

MSNBC is pleased with its relatively strong viewership. At noon on Saturday, MSNBC peaked with 1,463,000 total viewers and 662,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo. ALL THE NUMBERS:
