Ratings: “Gibson vs. Lauer In Rome”

ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ beat NBC’s ‘Today’ on Monday, April 4, according to fast affiliate numbers from Nielsen. ABC averaged 5,413,000 viewers, compared to NBC’s 5,161,000 — a difference of 252,000 total viewers. An ABC rep titled the match-up “Gibson vs. Lauer in Rome.”

Once in a while GMA beats Today, “but it never gets them anywhere,” an NBC insider responded last night. “‘Today’ always wins for the week — for over nine years now.”
