Ratings For Overnight Coverage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

Screen Shot 2014-03-20 at 9.25.30 AMCNN was the most-watched network during late night coverage of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. With news breaking out of Australia, CNN/U.S. began a simulcast of CNN International at 11:26pmET, with anchor John Vause. 1.145 million viewers tuned in, a +35% jump in viewership.

Don Lemon picked up on CNN/U.S. just before midnight and Anderson Cooper began anchoring a few minutes after midnight and stayed on until 3am. Fox News began continuing coverage at Midnight, with Shepard Smith starting at 12:25am and continuing until 2am. Betty Nguyen began continuing coverage on MSNBC at 12:30am and continued through the early morning.
