NBC News’ Peacock Productions will produce a one-hour special on MSNBC titled Jon Stewart Has Left the Building to air tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET. Rachel Maddow and Al Sharpton will offer personal thoughts and reflections on Stewart’s career. The special will also examine Stewart’s 16-year run as host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show.
The Daily Show co-creator Madeleine Smithberg, former co-EP Stewart Bailey and former correspondents Frank DeCaro, Beth Littleford and Lauren Weedman are also scheduled to appear. CNN’s Jake Tapper took a look back a Stewart’s political impact last week on State of the Union.
