Adweek unveiled its list of “30 Most Powerful Women in Sports” as part of the magazine’s annual sports issue. Several sportsnewsers made the list, including ESPN’s Hannah Storm, Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews, NBCSN’s Rebecca Lowe, and NBC Sports Group cmo Jenny Storms.
Andrews is one of sports TV’s best-known personalities. She moved across the country from ESPN to Fox Sports in 2012, and currently teams with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman as part of the network’s lead NFL broadcast team. Additionally, she has successfully taken her talents outside of the sports realm, becoming a fixture on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. A British import, Lowe is the lead host of the NBC Sports coverage of the Barclays Premier League. She’s covered the sport for the BBC, Setanta Sports and ESPN UK before arriving in the States. Lowe will take her talents to Rio next month for NBC’s coverage of the Olympics.

Storm was the first woman in U.S. television history to be solo host of a network sports package when she hosted NBC Major League Baseball games from 1994 to 2000. She has anchored coverage for just about every sport, including football, basketball, tennis, golf and the Olympics, and was the first play-by-play announcer in WNBA history. She’s even moonlighted as a morning show anchor when she co-hosted the CBS Early Show from 2002-07.
