TVNewser tipsters tell us there is a “pretty decent-sized protest” outside CNN Center in Atlanta this morning. A disability rights group is protesting CNN’s coverage of the issue including chants of “CNN…GET IT RIGHT”. A CNN spokesperson says the group is staging “an awareness-building event” which “temporarily impacted building entrance and exit for employees and guests to CNN Center.”
About 500 protesters are gathered for what is described as a “calm, non-violent” assembly. Atlanta police are on hand “to monitor the event and assist with building access,” says the CNN spokesperson.
