Presidents Day Schedule Sticking With Precedent

By SteveK

The last holiday when the United States stock markets closed, the international stocks took a huge hit. When it did, on MLK Day on January 21, FBN was live while CNBC was showing taped programming after 6amET. Bloomberg TV went to tape at 11amET.

Well, Monday is Presidents Day, and the preliminary schedule seems to indicate a deja vu: FBN back live, and CNBC back on tape. A CNBC spokesperson tells TVNewser, “CNBC will cover the overseas markets during ‘Worldwide Exchange,’ the only daily global business program, broadcast 4-6amET. In addition, CNBC Asia and CNBC Europe are on the air, as is CNBC World, which is seen in approximately 30 million U.S. homes.”

However the spokesperson also tells TVNewser that CNBC, “has plans to be in live programming” if necessary.
