Pres. Trump Once Again Claims He’s the Reason Why Jeff Zucker is at CNN

Pres. Trump gave another interview to a Fox News personality, this time chatting with Jesse Watters for a piece which will air Saturday night. Watters brought up Trump’s rivalry with CNN’s Worldwide chief (though not by name).

Watters: Chuck Schumer, the President of CNN, and Alec Baldwin. If you had to fire one person right now, who would you fire?

Trump: I think the Alec Baldwin situation is not good. Chuck I’m very disappointed in, because he’s a guy who should make deals for the people – instead he’s just an obstructionist. So, I’m disappointed in him. And Jeff Zucker, I mean, I got him the job. And CNN is just, you know, fake news. Who would I say? I just, I don’t want to say, but I will say I’m disappointed in all three. I think the portrayal of me is ridiculous.

This isn’t the first time the president has proclaimed on television that he’s the reason why Zucker got his current role. He made the claim during that lengthy live press conference on Feb. 16 while responding to an unrelated question from CNN’s Jim Acosta.
