Post-Super Bowl, CBS This Morning Has Best Showing in 15 Years

By Chris Ariens

Monday’s CBS This Morning averaged 4.71 million viewers, making it CBS’s largest single-day morning show audience in 15 years, since May 4, 2001, the day after the Survivor: The Australian Outback finale. Though still finishing 3rd place for the morning, CTM was within 360,000 viewers of first place.

Networks that air the Super Bowl often see a next-day bounce in viewership. In fact, last night’s edition of Supergirl in CBS prime time was up +20 percent in viewers and the two younger demos from the week prior.

111.9 million watched the Super Bowl on Sunday making it the 3rd most-watched TV program ever, only topped by the two most recent Super Bowls.
