Police Suggest Headline News Anchor Should Seek Restraining Order

By Chris Ariens

Atlanta police have told Headline News anchor Robin Meade to get a restraining order against a man who has e-mailed her more than 30 times since last November. The case took a turn when the man, Gregory Fitzgerald of Lewiston, Maine, showed up outside CNN’s headquarters two weeks ago.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Fitzgerald has also called several times, requesting to meet with Meade.

In one of his recent e-mails, Fitzgerald wrote that he was flying to Atlanta on Sept. 16, and included his flight itinerary and lodging information. Meade said that, to her knowledge, she has never met Fitzgerald.
