Philadelphia Union Sign Jersey Sponsor

The Philadelphia Union announced a four-year, $12 million deal with Bimbo. The club, which joined Major League Soccer in 2010, will put the baking company’s logo on the front of their uniforms.

“Today’s announcement is yet another defining moment in both Philadelphia Union’s and Major League Soccer’s history,” Philadelphia Union CEO & operating partner Nick Sakiewicz said in a statement. “The Union brand is about authenticity and you don’t get more authentic than Bimbo. We’re honored to partner with such a major international company with a rich soccer tradition and longstanding commitment to world class products and outstanding customer service.”

The Union are the 13th MLS franchise to gain a shirt sponsor. Bimbo is headquartered in Horsham, Pa and distributes brands including Thomas’ and Entenmann’s.
