Fox News anchor Steve Doocy and his son, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, talk to NJ.com about what it’s like to work at the same network:
Remembering how Peter was still in college when he participated in MSNBC’S Chris Matthews’ Hardball College Tour, Steve states “…my wife Kathy and I encouraged Peter to pursue either an MBA or a law degree but…(Peter) was selected to ask John McCain a town hall question. Peter phrased it in a hilarious way that got McCain and the 5000 in attendance laughing, and made political headlines.”
Soon after, Peter became a junior reporter and he believes that “I’m able to concentrate on what I’m doing with the benefit of having him as my behind-the-scenes career counselor. He’s already made all the rookie mistakes you can make on TV and he makes sure I don’t follow in those footsteps.”
