NBC News has found its new Weekend Today co-anchor: Peter Alexander.
The veteran NBC Newser will take the place of Craig Melvin, who stepped down from the role in August to become news anchor for the flagship 7 – 9 a.m. Today show.
Alexander will now be juggling two gigs. He will maintain his role of White House correspondent, based in Washington, and will come up to New York at the end of the week to co-anchor the Saturday broadcast with Dylan Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones.
