Paula Zahn Now: “Has Been Left Pretty Much Intact, Wouldn’t You Say?”

This afternoon’s post about Paula Zahn provoked many responses. Some people suggested the focus should be on other shows: “Why would there be any speculation about Paula’s show?,” a CNNer said this evening. “Her ratings have been great. She even beat O’Reilly twice in P25-54 recently,” referring to CNN’s 8pm success around the time of the Pope’s death. All the shows across the lineup have been tweaked, from adding correspondents to Anderson’s show and getting rid of the Whip on Aaron’s. Seems that Paula’s show has been left pretty much intact, wouldn’t you say?”

> An e-mailer suggests the L.A.L.A. program schedule: Make Paula an magazine/documentary unit person, then “Anderson begins hosting a 2-hour news program, maybe called “360” maybe called something else. You have a seamless schedule from 6-11 with Lou, Anderson, Larry and Aaron, with Paula and others contributing reports.”
