Pat Fili-Krushel Leaving NBC

By Mark Joyella

Six months after she was moved into a corporate role at NBCUniversal to make way for the returning Andy Lack, New York Magazine reports former NBC News chair Pat Fili-Krushel will leave the network.

“We couldn’t come up with a position that made sense for what I’m interested in doing, so we said maybe it’s time we part ways,” Fili-Krushel told the magazine.

At the time of Lack’s return, NBCU ceo Steve Burke described Fili-Krushel as “one of my most trusted advisors” and said she would “move into a new corporate role on my executive team.”

Fili-Krushel was named chair of the NBCUniversal News Group by Burke in 2012.
