Yesterday, while the cable news nets were covering Paris Hilton’s reassignment from jail, ABC News Now was the first to cover President Bush and Russian President Putin’s 11am press conference in Germany.
But even ABC News Now covered the Hilton drama as breaking news today. “ANN is destroying what it originally used for,” a disappointed e-mailer says. “Peter Jennings used ANN for continuing [coverage of the] Democratic and Republican Party conventions. Now ANN is using it for continuing coverage of a blond girl who is definitely a problem to the world and not a solution…”
