For the second time this summer, it’s a change of address for Headline News exile Thomas Roberts.

In May, Roberts relocated from Atlanta to Washington to be with his partner. Now he’s packing his bags for L.A., where he’ll join the syndicated The Insider as a correspondent, Paramount confirms. He debuts on the season premiere Sept. 10

Roberts lost his HLN anchor slot in September, just days after coming out at a panel at the National Lesbian & Gay Journalists Association convention in Miami. (At the time, HLN denied the events were related.)

Roberts left the network less than two months after appearing on Anderson Cooper 360 where he discussed his sexual abuse by a priest from age 14 to 17. 34-year-old Roberts joined CNN in December 2001. His contract was to have run until February 2008.

Covering entertainment stories won’t be a big stretch — Roberts was one of HLN’s main reporters on the death of Anna Nicole Smith.
