CBS has joined Fox News Channel on the growing list of networks being sued for using photos or videos without paying the royalties asked.
In the case of CBS, paparazzo Alan Zanger is suing over some photos of John Edwards mistress Rielle Hunter that ran on “The Early Show” and “The Insider.” THR Esq. has more:
He says that The Insider expressed some initial interest, so he delivered two of his photos for evaluation purposes. There allegedly was no immediate communication after that, and CBS is said to have gone ahead with displaying the photos on its shows.
AdvertisementZanger says the alleged copyright infringement caused him harm.
FNC, if you aren’t familiar with the case, was also sued for using a photo on the channel that it allegedly did not properly license.
