O’Reilly Factor Corrects A Mistake

“Could this be a first? Something said on The O’Reilly Factor has produced both a correction and an apology,” Radar writes.

Last week on the Factor, analyst Rod Wheeler inflated the number of DC-area “lesbian street gangs” and implied “a nonexistent connection between them and a gun-rights group.” Here’s his apology.

Bill O’Reilly corrected the record last night, saying Wheeler got a “little carried away.” Bill’s best line: “I’m not in fear of the lesbians beating me up when I go out tonight.” Here’s the video (skip the first 30 seconds):

“And we would like to make a clarification on a segment aired last month about gay and lesbian gangs. In that segment, Rod Wheeler, a former detective, said that some members of these gangs carry firearms that are painted pink. And he inadvertently said they call themselves the Pink Pistol Packing Group.

There’s actually a gun rights organization called the Pink Pistols that responsibly advocates for the rights of gays to bear arms. Mr. Wheeler says he was not talking about that group and has apologized for any misunderstanding.”
