‘O’Reilly Factor’ Beats ‘Rock Center’ in Total Viewers for Second Week in a Row

A victory for Fox News Channel last night: “The O’Reilly Factor” topped NBC’s “Rock Center with Brian Williams” in Total Viewers for the second week in a row.

Bill O’Reilly’s program drew 3.103 million viewers, while “Rock Center” drew 3.016 million. In the key A25-54 demographic, however, “Rock Center” still topped O’Reilly by more than half a million viewers (1.068 million to 569,000).

It should be noted that the comparison is an imperfect one — “The O’Reilly Factor” airs at 8pmET, while “Rock Center” airs at 10pmET. Additionally, Williams’ “Nightly News” draws 3-4 times as many viewers daily as “The O’Reilly Factor” does.

Wednesday’s “Factor,” which featured interviews with Dennis Miller and Dick Morris, also topped the series premiere of NBC’s sitcom “Bent” at 9pmET.
