On FBN, Curt Schilling Struggles to Explain Trump Comment About Young Girl

In an interview Thursday on Fox Business Network, Curt Schilling tried to explain why Donald Trump‘s comment about a 10-year-old young girl (that he’d be dating her in ten years) was being overplayed by the media.

“How many times—and I have three boys and a daughter—how many times have you looked at a young man and said ‘wow, he’s a beautiful young man, wow he’s a gorgeous young man, and that man was 12, 13, 14, 15?”

Host Trish Regan was not playing along. “I’ll be honest, Curt,” she said, holding up her hand in a gesture showing zero. “You’re on your own on this.”

Schilling said people disturbed by Trump’s comment were making a leap from an innocent comment “to pedophilia or molestation.” But Regan was unimpressed. “So you’re telling me you see a 10-year-old girl and you think ‘yeah, I’m going to date her’?”

At that point, somehow, the interview got even stranger, with Schilling saying “I have a daughter. My daughter has friends. I’ve seen my daughter’s friends. I’m a man. I’ve said, ‘wow she’s a beautiful young lady.’ I don’t immediately jump to molesting her.”

Elsewhere at FBN, anchor Lou Dobbs is being criticized for sharing the address and phone number of one of the women who told The New York Times her story of being forcibly touched by Donald Trump. Dobbs later deleted the tweet and apologized:
