Olbermann’s Appendix, Now Dobbs’ Tonsils

By Chris Ariens

On Friday, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann had his appendix removed, and within the last few minutes we learned this from CNN’s Kitty Pilgrim, sitting in for Lou Dobbs:

GOOD EVENING EVERYBODY. WE BEGIN TONIGHT WITH SOME NEWS ABOUT LOU. MANY OF YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING WHERE LOU IS. WELL, HE’S JUST HAD A TONSILLECTOMY. AND HE WON’T BE HERE FOR THE NEXT TWO TO THREE WEEKS. WE’RE PLEASED TO REPORT THAT LOU IS DOING FINE, AND WE THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONCERN.

>More, from a CNN spokesperson: “[G]iven Lou’s overwhelming passion for the issues he covers, he hopes to resume his column for cnn.com and continue work on his book Independent’s Day next week. We are very pleased that Lou is doing well and that audiences will continue to hear his views even as he rests his voice.”
