One of the worst months on record for the markets was one of the best for CNBC. Business Day programming (5am-7pmET) averaged 502,000 Total Viewers, the best month ever in that measurement. In the A25-54 demo, Business Day averaged 150,000 viewers, the best overall month since March 2001.
And CNBC’s choice to stay live in prime time on many nights also helped. In both Total Viewers and A25-54, Monday-Friday prime time had its best overall month since March 2003.
