CBS’s Norah O’Donnell was honored with the award for Excellence in Journalism at the National Press Club last night.
The award was presented by the American News Women’s Club which raises money throughout the year for scholarships for women studying journalism. The program was emceed by O’Donnell’s former NBC News colleague Luke Russert. Among those in attendance, Susan Page of USA Today, NBC’s Andrea Mitchell, CBS This Morning ep Chris Licht, and CBS News president David Rhodes. And the surprise of the night: recently retired Bob Schieffer wrote and performed an original song called Norah the Explorer. WATCH:
