President Obama called on six reporters in his final 2015 news conference this afternoon, none from the TV news networks. Reporters from the AP, Reuters, USA Today, American Urban Radio and Bloomberg BNA were among those called on. The 50-minute news conference ended rather abruptly when the president told the press corps., “Thanks, everybody. I gotta get to Star Wars.”

President Obama is hosting Gold Star families for a screening of the film this afternoon at the White House. The president will then leave for his holiday vacation in Hawaii, with a stop in California to meet with the families of those killed in the terror attack in San Bernardino earlier this month.
