After a brief time away from Fox News, as he was under consideration for Donald Trump‘s VP nominee, Newt Gingrich will return to the FNC contributor fold. The Hill reports Gingrich will go back on the payroll starting Aug. 1.

FNC and Gingrich mutually agreed to suspend its agreement on July 12.

Gingrich was a Fox News analyst in 2011 when his contract was suspended during his run for the GOP nomination. Gingrich joined CNN in 2013 as a panelist for Crossfire. He remained with CNN for a time after the show was canceled, before returning to Fox News.
