Bob Schieffer “has done what I thought would be impossible: He has made a nightly news watcher out of me again,” Aaron Barnhart writes in Friday’s Kansas City Star.
He references Leslie Moonves‘ hunt for high-priced anchor talent, but says “those plans seem to grow more irrelevant by the week. The longer the 69-year-old Schieffer sits behind the anchor desk, the more he seems to rejuvenate the whole news division.”
