New ‘Dateline’ Series Utilizes Digital Journalists

By kevin

Tonight, “Dateline NBC” introduces “America Now,” an Ann Curry-hosted special series that EP David Corvo says captures “the lives of Americans who are hurting, but still helping each other despite the tough economy.”

An interesting sign of the times in this industry: we understand the show tonight is shot and edited nearly exclusively by digital journalists, which will be the case with most of the new series.

The first installment is called “A Circle of Hands” about a family in Grafton, Wisconsin. It airs this evening at 7pm.
