Networks Plan Special Coverage for AG Sessions Testimony

By Chris Ariens

While CNN, Fox News and MSNBC will carry special coverage of Attorney General Jeff Sessions‘ testimony this afternoon, the broadcast networks are also planning their own special reports, beginning around 2:30 p.m. ET.

NBC News will provide an optional special report, which means NBC stations can choose whether or not to take it. Lester Holt will anchor from New York. ABC will provide a network-wide special report (which won’t make many General Hospital fans very happy). CBS News will carry a special report hosted by Scott Pelley. Jon Scott will anchor an optional special report for FOX affiliates.

Nearly 20 million viewers tuned in for last week’s testimony of fired FBI director James Comey in front of the same Senate Intelligence Committee investigating Russia’s role in the 2016 U.S. election.
