Neil Cavuto: ‘I Wouldn’t Wish What I’ve Been Through on Anyone’

By Mark Joyella

“I still have a job, which is good,” Fox News and Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto joked as he returned to work for the first time since undergoing open heart surgery in June. “It’s good to be here.”

After reading a selection of the “thousands” of cards, letters and emails Cavuto received while he was away, he thanked viewers for supporting him during the last few “scary months,” saying “I wouldn’t wish what I’ve been through on anyone, even CNBC watchers. It was scary stuff.”

On Cavuto Coast to Coast, the anchor shared photos of himself after the surgery and thanked the medical team that got him through. Cavuto said his doctor was critical not just in performing the surgery, but helping him through the emotional “funk” that followed, advising him “to keep at it and never give up.”
