Today co-host and MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall spoke to Prince on Monday.
She wasn’t a reporter calling for a story, but a person checking on a friend who had taken ill in recent days. She said Prince told her he was fine. The pop icon’s sudden death three days later left her “doubly stunned,” as Willie Geist explained on the Today show this morning. Al Roker shared that Prince had asked Hall to visit with him last weekend, but she wasn’t able to make the trip–that decision now a profound regret.
