By Brian Flood

Today show lifestyle and fitness correspondent Jenna Wolfe was awarded the 2015 Jack LaLanne Award at the IDEA World Fitness Convention’s opening ceremony in Los Angeles.

“What an unbelievable honor to be recognized by 12,000 of the fittest minds and bodies from all around the world,” Wolfe told TVNewser. “I didn’t know whether to give a speech or start doing push ups. I chose the former, emphasizing the key to everything: if you want your life to change, you have to change your life. And then I did push ups.”

The award is presented to people who have made significant contributions in the areas of fitness, nutrition and wellness. Honorees are recognized for inspiring the world of fitness through their work in the media or public eye. Wolfe’s weekly fitness tip newsletter is available every Wednesday via Today.com.
