NBC News Ups Dembo For Investigations Role

By Chris Ariens

NBC News has tapped a 14-year NBC veteran Robert Dembo to head up the investigative unit. As Senior Broadcast Producer, NBC News Investigations, Dembo will coordinate all of NBC’s investigative resources. In June, the network hired Michael Isikoff from Newsweek as its national investigative correspondent.

In his time at NBC News, Dembo has been Director of National News Coverage, Senior Producer of NBC Nightly News and Project Manager of large-scale news events.

Team,

I’m happy to announce that Robert Dembo has been named to a new role as Senior Broadcast Producer, NBC News Investigations, where he will coordinate all of NBC’s investigative resources. Dembo’s 14 years of NBC News experience include positions such as Director of National News Coverage, Senior Producer of Nightly News and Project Manager of large-scale news events such as Democracy Plaza, Election Plaza and Humanity Plaza. He’s covered stories from the O.J. Simpson case, to the Clinton scandals, the September 11 attacks (coverage that won NBC an Emmy award), and the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. Dembo’s expertise and leadership has contributed to NBC’s success year after year and we are incredibly excited to bring his unique skills to the outstanding investigative news teams all around this news division.

Please join me in congratulating Robert.

Steve
