NBC News Finds a New Use for The Bloommobile

The live mobile news unit made famous by the late NBC News anchor David Bloom during the Iraq war and last seen being used during a Winter storm in Boston, was back in action this morning on the Today show.

The Bloommobile was used to allow viewers to watch Matt Lauer report live from his bike, as he makes the journey from Boston to New York in support of Red Nose Day. The Bloommobile has the capability to transmit to the satellite in full HD while the truck is in motion, making it possible to ride along with Matt.
