NBC News, ABC News Vet Named to Presidential Arts Committee

Live Nation Entertainment’s VECTOR OMG partner Eric Ortner, who served as a co-chair on President Barack Obama’s 2013 inauguration, has been appointed to the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the White House announced Friday.

Ortner, a former a journalist and producer with NBC News, ABC News and CBS News, will join a diverse group of arts and entertainment notables on the president’s committee, which is tasked with bringing together the White House, corporations, foundations and individuals to “strengthen the United States’ national investment in its cultural life.”

Other members of the committee include Yo-Yo Ma, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anna Wintour, Forest Whitaker, Kerry Washington, Alfre Woodard and Tennis Channel CEO Ken Solomon.

Ortner, who was also a senior producer of Good Morning America and a producer of the Today show, will remain chair of the president’s entertainment advisory council supporting public engagement.
