NBC News, ABC News, AJAM, CNN Among Sigma Delta Chi Award winners

The Society of Professional Journalist named the recipients of their Sigma Delta Chi Awards yesterday, recognizing exceptional professional journalism produced in 2014.

Judges selected 85 honorees from more than 1,600 submissions, including selections from television and radio broadcasts, newspapers, online news outlets and magazines. ABC News, NBC News, CNN and Al Jazeera America were among the winners.

ABC’s World News Tonight won a feature reporting award for a segment on child refugees from Syria working to support their families. NBC News took home two awards, for one for Nightly News’ breaking news coverage in Gaza and a documentary prize for the Dateline NBC with Lester Holt segment Breathless.

CNN won an investigative reporting award and Al Jazeera America was honored for non-deadline digital video. Check out all the winners here.
