Longtime HLN host Nancy Grace will launch a “crimefighting” website dedicated to finding missing people and solving homicide cases–which is exactly how she described her show on HLN.
“I’m really excited about it, and I believe we will help people,” Grace told Cosmopolitan.
HLN announced in June Grace would leave the network after 11 years. “Leaving HLN was a really tough decision for me, because I loved it,” she told Cosmo. “But I’d noticed that the last few cases that my viewers helped crack, (key information) was coming from Facebook and social media. Crimes are being committed 24/7, 365 days a year. My show aired one hour a day, and then a repeat at 2 a.m.,” she said.
Grace says the new website–as yet un-named–will attempt to harness social media to build a community around solving crimes.
