Murrow Awards: Westin’s Note

In addition to six awards for the television news division, ABC News Radio won two Edward R. Murrow awards today. ABC News president David Westin sent a note to the staff a few minutes ago:

…we won the Murrow for Overall Excellence, based on one of our World News broadcasts, Diane’s work for GMA overseas and her reporting for 20/20 in Camden, NJ; Terry Moran and Nightline’s coverage of VA Tech; Robin Roberts’ series on breast cancer; Jim Sciutto’s work in Myanmar; Bill Weir’s Key to the World series; and Bill Blakemore’s reporting on the global warming crisis in the Arctic.
