A Stephanie Ruhle interview with a political journalist might not seem particularly groundbreaking on the surface. But her sit-down this morning with John Hendrickson from The Atlantic was very different.
Hendrickson, like the person writing this particular post, has a speech impediment, and he showed a ton of courage this morning by appearing on the live program to talk about his recent interview with one of the world’s most high-profile stutterers: Former Vice president and current Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Hendrickson’s lengthy, fascinating piece was published on The Atlantic site earlier today, and while I rarely tout others’ stories on here, it is a great read, and gives a unique look into the lives of two stutterers, one famous, one not so much.
Figured this would be a refreshing post to end what has been a not-so-upbeat week in media and politics. Enjoy your weekends!

.@JohnGHendy thought this conversation would be his nightmare.
He explained to me why his new piece in @TheAtlantic about how Joe Biden is handling the challenge of stuttering is so personal to him.
