MSNBC’s Sean McLaughlin Jumps Ship

Meteorologist Sean McLaughlin is leaving MSNBC and returning home to Phoenix to a new job at KPHO Channel 5. FTV broke the news and the Arizona Republic follows up: “McLaughlin joins the Channel 5 team in September. He will serve as chief meteorologist during the week and co-anchor the Sunday news program.”

“There were more and more changes at MSNBC,” McLaughlin says. “People that hired me were no longer there and they were going in different directions. I wanted to be in a community where I could really grow again…”
