MSNBC Teases Live Earth

MSNBC’s news coverage of the Live Earth concerts on Saturday seemed awkward, since its parent network was the U.S. TV sponsor of the day’s events.

“We’ll be rocking it around the clock,” Alex Witt said during the 8am hour while Rihanna played live in Tokyo. She repeatedly teased the multi-platform coverage.

MSNBC’s reports were limited to live shots and teases throughout the morning. One of the first segments was a global warming debate between a National Geographic writer and a Heritage Foundation staffer…
