MSNBC.com’s New Record: 1,300,000 Live Shuttle Streams

By Brian

MSNBC.com delivered more than 1.3 million live streams of shuttle landing coverage Tuesday morning, TVNewser has learned. According to NBC, the number is “much larger” than the site’s previous streaming video records — double the number of streams of the Jackson verdict, even thought it was only 8am ET, 5am PT.

“That’s live viewers of NBC News coverage, which adds well over a rating point to the ‘viewing’ audience,” an e-mailer points out. “It will be interesting to see how this number stacks up against cable actual audience numbers when they come out.”
