MSNBC.com Hires Deputy Editor For News

Russell Shaw is joining MSNBC.com as deputy editor for news, the Web site announced today. MSNBC.com managing editor Jennifer Sizemore hired Shaw from the Houston Chronicle, where she worked before moving to MSNBC.com last year.

Shaw will be “in charge of the site’s overall news coverage, directing editors, writers and producers. In this role, he will manage the news and home page teams in Redmond, Secaucus and London, as well as oversee the site’s original projects team,” the press release says…
