MSNBC Broadcasts Portion of Megyn Kelly’s Fox News Show

By A.J. Katz

In one of the more bizarre moments of the cable news coverage of this election (and that’s saying something), MSNBC aired a live portion of a Fox News interview with Ted Cruz. Megyn Kelly was interviewing Cruz for the full hour of her show tonight, in front of an audience in Madison, WI.

MSNBC somehow managed to go live from inside the venue, listening in to the Q&A for 12 minutes during Tamron Hall’s show. For the first part of MSNBC’s coverage there is silence, because Kelly’s live-to-tape show hadn’t begun taping. Kelly even jokes with the crowd about the production crew.

MSNBC stayed on the live shot and aired Kelly asking Cruz about Donald Trump’s personal attacks on him and his wife. Additionally, Cruz was asked about the recent National Inquirer article which claims that he has had five affairs with five different women while he has been married. Kelly asked him point blank if he has ever committed adultery:

I have not. That attack was complete and utter garbage. It was complete lies, and it came from Donald Trump and his henchmen…The National Enquirer has endorsed Donald Trump, and the Inquirer is Donald Trump’s little attack machine. It spreads rumors and lies about every other candidate, and it just praises Donald.

MSNBC aired the Fox News show from 11:37 a.m. until 11:49 a.m. ET.
