MSNBC At 10: Goodman Says Donahue Should Have Been Celebrating, Too

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews hosted Hardball from the Today Show’s outdoor studio on the Rockefeller Center plaza this evening. He attracted dozens of passersby. (Tammy Haddad was whipping up the crowd again.)

Matthews interviewed Brian Williams and others about MSNBC.com’s 10th anniversary party before coming upstairs to join in the festivities. But Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! rained on the parade. She condemned MSNBC for firing Phil Donahue in 2003. “He shouldn’t have been fired for expressing an anti-war point of view on the eve” of the Iraq invasion, Goodman said. Here’s the video…
